Travelling the Eastern European Countries for more than 20 years, and living among the people, I have become a translator between Eastern and Western Europe: Working in the East, reporting for the West.

Prior to my career in photography, I have been caring for refugees from former Yugoslavia. During this time in Bosnia, my passion for photography grew and I felt the urge to document and report their stories.

My style of photography focuses on the fate of individual human beings and their response to live's uncertainties. Life seen through a humane lens is to make reality tangible.

My current projects are:

- Heimatbedarf, an exploration on personal connections under unstable circumstances when nothing can be relied on anymore. Like in Eastern transitional countries, and

- Normalno a controversial passionate Balkan cookbook.

My work has appeared in numerous publications as Jerusalem Post, The Guardian, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung, ЕДНО, Zeitzeichen, zoon, Kulturaustausch, Financial Times Deutschland, GEO and i worked with the NGO's as Slow Food International, Stiftung Erinnerung, Verantwortung und Zukunft and Goethe-Institut.
